Refund and Cancellation Policy

This Refund and Cancellation Policy describes how cancellations, refunds, transfers, and program changes work for Become A Yogi trainings, retreats, and masterclasses. It applies to all bookings made through becomeayogi.co and our partner booking platforms (WeTravel for trainings and retreats, SweatPals for masterclasses).

Please read this policy carefully before booking. By registering for any of our programs, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these terms.

1. Why Our Programs Are Non-Refundable

Our trainings and retreats are immersive, capacity-limited experiences. We commit significant resources well in advance: securing venues, booking accommodations, hiring assistant teachers, ordering materials, planning meals, arranging transportation, and reserving every spot. When a participant cancels late, those costs cannot be recovered, and the spot often cannot be filled.

For these reasons, our cancellation terms are firm. We strongly recommend that all participants purchase travel insurance that covers cancellation, interruption, and medical emergencies. Travel insurance is the most reliable way to protect your investment in the event of unexpected circumstances.

2. Teacher Trainings and Retreats (Booked via WeTravel)

2.1 Deposits

All deposits paid to secure your spot in a training or retreat are non-refundable under any circumstances. Your deposit confirms your commitment and reserves your place in the program.

2.2 Tuition Payments

Tuition payments — the balance of your program fee beyond the deposit — are non-refundable within six (6) months of the program start date. This means:

• If you cancel more than six months before the program start date, you may request a refund of tuition payments made beyond your deposit. Your deposit remains non-refundable.
• If you cancel within six months of the program start date, all payments — including deposit and tuition — are non-refundable.

2.3 How to Request a Cancellation

All cancellation requests must be made in writing to info@becomeayogi.com and to WeTravel. Please include your full name, the program you booked, and the date of your booking. The effective cancellation date is the date we receive your written request.

2.4 Transfers Between Programs

If you can no longer attend the program you booked but wish to transfer your registration to a future program, we may permit this on a case-by-case basis if your request is made more than 90 days before the program start date and a future program is available. Transfer requests within 90 days of the start date are not guaranteed and are subject to availability and approval. A transfer fee may apply. Your deposit will follow the transfer if approved; tuition already paid will be credited toward the new program.

2.5 Transferring Your Spot to Another Person

You may transfer your registration to another qualified participant if (a) the new participant meets all program prerequisites, (b) the transfer is approved by us in writing, and (c) the transfer is made at least 60 days before the program start date. The transferee assumes all rights and obligations of the original registration. We do not facilitate the financial arrangement between the two parties.

3. Masterclasses (Booked via SweatPals)

Masterclass cancellations and refunds are governed by SweatPals' booking terms. Generally, masterclasses are non-refundable within 48 hours of the class start time. For full details, please refer to the SweatPals booking page for your specific class or contact SweatPals support directly.

4. Force Majeure

If a program is postponed or canceled by Become A Yogi due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control — including but not limited to natural disasters, pandemics, war, civil unrest, government restrictions, venue closures, or other force majeure events — we will offer one of the following at our discretion:

• A credit toward a future program of equivalent value (valid for 24 months).
• A transfer to a comparable program if available.
• A partial refund of recoverable costs only, after deducting non-recoverable expenses already committed (such as venue deposits and assistant-teacher commitments).

If you are unable to attend a program because of a force majeure event affecting you personally (illness, travel restrictions, family emergency), the standard cancellation terms in Section 2 apply. We strongly encourage travel insurance for this reason.

5. If Become A Yogi Cancels a Program

In the rare event that we cancel a program for reasons within our control, we will:

• Notify all registered participants as soon as possible.
• Offer a full refund of all amounts paid to Become A Yogi (including deposits), or a transfer to a comparable program at the same or lesser cost.

We are not responsible for any expenses you incur as a result of our cancellation, including non-refundable flights, accommodations, or visa fees. Travel insurance is recommended to protect against these costs.

6. Program Changes

Become A Yogi reserves the right to make changes to program schedules, locations, instructors, accommodations, and curriculum when reasonably necessary. We will communicate any significant changes to registered participants promptly. Minor changes do not entitle participants to refunds or cancellation outside the standard terms.

7. Travel and Visa Responsibility

You are solely responsible for obtaining and maintaining all travel documents, visas, vaccinations, and other entry requirements for any international retreat or training you attend. We cannot refund your booking if you are unable to attend due to denied entry, expired documents, or failure to meet entry requirements. Please verify all requirements well in advance and consult the relevant embassy or consulate for the most current information.

8. Travel Insurance — Strongly Recommended

We strongly recommend that all participants in our retreats and trainings purchase comprehensive travel insurance that includes:

• Trip cancellation and interruption coverage.
• Emergency medical and evacuation coverage.
• Coverage for lost or delayed baggage.
• Coverage for events that may affect your ability to attend.

Travel insurance is the only reliable way to protect your full financial investment in the event of personal illness, family emergency, or other circumstances that prevent your attendance.

9. Chargebacks

If you initiate a chargeback or payment dispute with your bank or card issuer for any payment made to Become A Yogi or our booking platforms, we reserve the right to cancel your registration immediately and pursue all available legal remedies. We will provide documentation of these terms and your acceptance to the relevant payment processor and dispute the chargeback in good faith.

10. Newsletter and Free Content

Subscriptions to our newsletter and access to free content on our website may be canceled by you at any time without charge or notice. Use the unsubscribe link in any email we send, or contact us at info@becomeayogi.com.
